This is the season of giving, but we often get a little too caught up in our presents and ourselves to really give it our all. Here’s five ways you can help others this season:
1. Give money
I know we all want to see our good work go to use, but most charities need money more than donations of clothes or time. If you have the money, donate!
2. Donate your time
If you don’t have the money, your time is needed on days where the shelter or charity is lacking. Ask them when the best time it is for you to come in and make it as easy for them as possible.
3. Give Blood
I gave blood a couple weeks ago and one of my blog friends let me know that donations drop this time of year! It takes fifteen minutes to help save lives.
4. Start taking your charity work seriously
Consider planning how you will help through the rest of the year as well as the holidays. Extend your helping hand a little further.
Even the littlest spark can start a fire, any little bit helps. Pay attention to those who need you and help as often as possible.
