Q&A For 4K

I’ve been blogging for a long time, much longer than it feels! I still feel like a novice, most of the time just blurting out my thoughts and hoping someone can relate. I truly appreciate the people who have joined me on my journey here, some who have been so consistent with me that I call them my internet friends!

I just reached 4,000 followers here on WordPress and to celebrate, here are the answers to the questions you’ve asked me! If I missed one, please re-ask in the comments or I’m also happy to go into more depth for any of my answers!

What’s your dream car?
Probably a more updated version of my current car which is a Fiat! I’m not really a car person, but I love Fiats 🙂

Favorite childhood vacation destination?
When I was around 15 my family and I went to Italy with my grandparents, it felt great to kind of be around my roots. But I’d like to go back now that I’m older and would appreciate it more.

Favorite ice cream flavor?
Lately I’ve been into pistachio or strawberry!

Do you have any hidden talents?
I have a lot of “ugly faces” I make that tend to shock people, like they didn’t know I could make myself look so much unlike myself lol.

Why did you choose WordPress over Wix?
I find WordPress very user friendly and it has the blogging community aspect, like being able to follow people and have their posts pop up in my reader. I don’t think Wix has that? I used Wix years ago to build a site so I don’t know if it’s the same still but it doesn’t seem to really have that community.

What has sharing your thoughts on your blog—and to 4K people!—taught you about yourself?
That I am truly not alone in the world. I feel alone a lot, I always have. In the lows and highs of this blog, there has always been at least one person to understand where I’m coming from. None of us are ever alone.

What’s your favorite thing to blog about?
Me! Haha that sounds terrible. It used to be relationships or being single because there was one time or another where I felt I had a pretty good handle on those topics. Currently, I don’t feel like I have a true handle on anything.

How long do you spend working on your blog every week? Do you find it difficult thinking of blog titles?
I would sayyy maybe 4-5 hours a week. I try to do everything in bulk so a couple hours to write my posts and get them scheduled for the week and a couple hours engaging. Yes, I hate blog titles lol

Favourite country you’ve visited?
Portugal, more specifically the island of Terceira 🙂

What inspired you to start blogging?
I started blogging for a class in college! Those who have been around for a while remember my blog used to be called Hookup Culture (if any of you have been around that long PLEASE leave a comment)

How do you grow your WordPress following?
Lots of blog interaction! Sometimes I follow new blogs in my niche, but most of the time I comment on other blogs and return comments left on my blog and that’s how new people find me and that’s how I find them!

How did you and your boyfriend meet?
We met in college! We were friends of friends and had a few back and forth flirtationship moments before actually going on our first date two years after graduating. We think we had a class together freshman year but the college years are fuzzy.

Can you remember first grade? If so what do you remember about your very first day?
No, haha. I can barely remember anything from over 5 years ago. I’m not sure what it is about my memory, but I have some of those pivotal moments from the past stored and then everything else goes poof. I had the same teacher for 1st and 2nd grade so this could have happened either years, but I remember we had to do that draw your best friend project that Michelle on Full House had to do and I drew someone because they were drawing me, but they weren’t my best friend. Was almost just like the episode!

How would your dog describe you?
She would definitely call me annoying lol I mush her with love so much and she hates it.

What’s your favorite cereal? Feel free to classify adult and/or kid cereals.
I don’t eat that much cereal! As a kid I liked Pops, I would eat life or oatmeal squares if I chose today.
