I don’t normally do book reviews, but I’ve luckily had more time to read now that we have stay at home orders! If you didn’t know, Amazon is offering Kindle Unlimited free for two months for new subscribers if you’re looking to add to your library.
Here are the books I’ve read so far and quick review of each!
- Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by JK Rowling
If you’ve been with me here a while, I’ve been slowly reading the Harry Potter books for the first time. If you’ve never read them, now is definitely the time!! I love them so much and am dreading finishing the last book. - What If It’s Us by Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli
Becky Albertalli is also the author of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, the book which the movie Love, Simon was based on. I love Love, Simon and I liked this book a lot. It followed two young gay men who basically have a fate-like meeting in a post office and need to find their way back to each other. It was really cute and an easy read, I recommend it if you’re into YA. - Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
The last of the P.S. I Love You trilogy, if you liked the Netflix movies then you’ll love the books. I think the characters are even more charming in the books and I’d be interested to see if people are still so team Peter, because John Ambrose was so written SO well in the books! Definitely recommend the trilogy if you’re into YA. - I’m Fine and Neither Are You by Camille Pagan
I judged a book by its cover and got this off of Kindle Unlimited, the cover looked like my style of book. This was a little tougher to get through, it’s very honest and sad and if you’re a mom I would imagine this would be an even tougher read as it follows a mother who is tackling loss and going through a rough patch in her marriage. I still felt it was a great lesson-learning book and would recommend if you’re in your late-twenties or older.
If you’ve read any good books lately, leave them in the comments below!
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince is my favourite Harry Potter book!! Great review!

I would definitely recommend The Shack. I can’t think of the name of the author right this second but it’s an inspirational work of fiction about a man dealing with the loss of his daughter who receives an anonymous letter. It was turned into a movie a few years ago which featured Tim McGraw. I also recommend Joel Osteen’s books. They are filled with inspiration with a mix of humor.

What if it’s us sounds like a nice summer read. I watched P.S. I Love You a few nights ago and didn’t shed a tear until it finished and then immediately phoned my bloke sobbing. 😆 Not sure I could handle the books lol

Getting back reading is one of the good things about this lockdown isn’t it? I’ve only read the Harry Potter one but all sound interesting. Think the Deathly Hallows was my favourite HP book.
