Share something from your July in the comments!
First of all, I have no idea how a month can go by so quickly in a time that is going by so slowly, but here we are. In July, I have learned that my life is not the problem, it’s the way I think about my life that gives me trouble. I also learned that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an AMAZING show to binge in the midst of a pandemic. And that shelling out nine bucks for a pint of ice cream might actually be worth it occasionally. 🙂

I’ve definitely done the same with ice cream 😂 I feel like I would love Buffy idk why I haven’t seen it yet!

My son came home for a visit in July (he lives in Toronto). He’s now working remotely due to the pandemic so he was able to stay for 2 weeks. My sister’s oldest son passed away in May. My nephew would have been 27 yesterday. He and his brother (who passed at 16) both had Muscular Dystrophy. It’s been so terribly sad but having my son home for 2 whole weeks was healing in a way I can’t fully express. He’s been through a lot in his life as well but he’s such an incredibly grounded and loving person despite it all. I love him endlessly obviously but I also respect his resilience and courage. Sharing his journey and him sharing mine has educated and guided me in a way I never expected but continue to be grateful for.

This July I officially began my first healthy, adult relationship and it made me realize why celebrating the little things is truly so important. Let’s hope August can be as much fun for us as last month was hahaha. Great post Rosie, I hope you and your family are doing well during this time!

I turned 43 last month. Had a nice, quiet day with my parents. Ordered pizza and of course, birthday cake 😁. My parents bought me an Amazon Kindle – my very first – to replace the laptop that broke a few months ago. So much simpler to use than a laptop. Definitely smaller, too!😁

I’m Googling your book and TV choices. Watched loads of films Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Super 8, Mortal Engines and Joker were all brilliant. Discovered a cheap but delicious local takeaway instead of Pizza Express. Sorted out my wardrobe for this A/W.

I love this idea for a monthly recap! When did you officially start doing these? And I think one thing I loved from July would have to be revisiting my love of baking! I’ve probably tried three new recipes that month and that’s always a fun, stay at home activity.😊

My favorite book this month was Watchmen by Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons, it’s also outside of my typical reading material which was cool. Definitely motivated me to try more new things in all aspects of my life. Love this wrap up post, you may have inspired a new monthly post for me! hahaha
Great post Rosie, always a fan!
