August Recap

Favorite show: Lost

Favorite memory: Our nearby minor league baseball stadium was having a socially distanced concert series where we all got to be on the field, more than 6 feet apart, and listen to a Billy Joel cover band! I’m a big Billy Joel fan and it was fun to do an almost normal summer activity.

Favorite place: Portland, Maine

Favorite Instagram:Β We clean up nice

Favorite Tweet: I’ve been recording a couple seconds of each day until I get a new job.

One thing I did to get out of my comfort zone: Zoom interviews are a whole new kind of experience, I’ve had three now and it’s really been an adjustment. Especially for someone who isn’t really good at interviews.

Favorite book: I’m a little behind on my reading list.

Favorite blog post: I’m introverted and have a hard time saying what I feel.

Favorite collab: Check out Squeeze Dried flavor sticks if you’re looking for something to spice up your water that has health benefits.

  1. That concert sounds amazing!! I saw Billy Joel in concert a couple years ago and it was one of my favorite concert experiences ever; the man is just so. stinkin’. talented.

I’m in the process of building my first piece of furniture. It’s not perfect, but damn does it feel good to look at it and think, “I made that!”

This month has been actually busy for me, yet if I would share something interesting it would be going to the beach for a weekend! I don’t remember when was the last time I went to the beach, so that was fun!

  3. I’ve been catching up on all the movies I have recorded on my DVR. I’ve been watching a lot of baseball games and car racing. I’ve been focusing on my writing career and have found numerous opportunities that sound promising. Of course I am making time for my family.

  4. Great pictures (here and on Insta). I am trying to learn how to play the piano. Someone gave me a piano for free and it’s been sitting unused for years . Every time it rains really heavily you can catch a whiff of the ferrets that lived with the people I got it from. I have some old lesson books I picked up from the thrift store and 4 of the keys on the piano don’t work so I’m not sure how it will go but I’m still going to try.
