Ever heard a holiday coffee advertised on your tv and you’re both disgusted and intrigued? Well I tried a bunch so you don’t have to! See my reviews below and let me know which one you’ll be trying.

Dunkin gingerbread iced latte 2/10

This is very sweet, it reminds me of the iced pumpkin spice latte but just not as disgusting. It has a small gingerbread after taste but it just wasn’t as good as I thought it would be.

Dunkin peppermint mocha latte 4/10

This is pretty good, tastes just like a thin mint which is never a bad thing. I got a small which was a good amount, I don’t think id want a lot of this because it feels very rich.

Starbucks Caramel Brûlée Latte 6/10

I was expecting a lot from this, people really hyped it up. It was just a caramel latte in my opinion. It was good but not holiday Ish and nothing special.

Starbucks Peppermint Mocha 3/10

Soooo minty. I don’t hate it but it tastes like drinking a mocha coffee while chewing peppermint gum.

Starbucks Eggnog Latte 5/10

I’ve never had eggnog so…I don’t know if that makes a difference here. I once again didn’t think it was anything special it just tastes like a latte to me, a little different but mostly the same. At least it wasn’t bad!

Overall: I don’t really see anything special about holiday coffee. I definitely get the pumpkin spice hype a little more, but the holiday flavors are a miss for me. Maybe because I’m just not a huge peppermint mocha fan. If you have a favorite holiday drink, whether it’s from a chain or local, let me know in the comments!

  2. I’m with you; holiday coffees aren’t that great. I’ll probably get one Starbucks peppermint mocha before the season is over just because it is so festive. I like the strong mint there too. But I definitely agree with you about the others. I’m getting to the point though where I just want the coffee taste with a HINT of something else. So I loved the pumpkin foam cold brew they introduced! Not as sweet as a PSL but still pumpkiny for fall. I have a lot of thoughts on basic bitch coffee, lol.

  7. I love the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha! But I don’t drink it too often (too much sugar). I’ve never had the Eggnog Latte, so I’m not sure if I’d like it or not. Now the Caramel Brulee and Gingerbread, I’m not a fan of.

  9. In my ongoing coffee adventures, I’ve discovered I love peppermint mocha. I’ve had the swirl in my hot coffee from Dunkin’ and a peppermint mocha latte from Starbucks. And I also got the Coffeemate creamer this week 🙈 I’ve also had the gingerbread swirl in my Dunkin’ coffee and it’s okay. I think I’m going to lean more toward peppermint mocha.

  11. This is so great! I’m a coffee fanatic. I would love for you to review the new Dunkin’ one – sugarplum macchiato or something? The first line of your article – I was both disgusted and intrigued by it, I bet it’s super sweet!

    1. I love macchiatos so it’s definitely on my list! My boyfriend asked me if I wanted it yesterday when we went to dunkin and I was like ehhhh I don’t feel like drinking a coffee I don’t like today 😂
