Today I turn 28! Of course I never thought I’d experience a pandemic in my life time and I think I learned more in the past year than I have in a majority of my life. Here’s 28 things I’ve learned in 28 years!
- Your late twenties are the perfect time to start doing the things you enjoyed in your childhood
- You don’t have to act or dress a certain way as you get older, if you want to stay on trend then do it. If you want to side part your hair then do it.
- Literally, who cares? In my 28 years I’ve learned that no one’s opinion matters as long as I’m happy and not hurting anyone.
- Best laid plans never freakin work out.
- So go with the flow, life will take you where you need to be.
- There are no rules. You don’t have to be married with kids by a certain age.
- You will always be replaceable in your career, so do what’s best for you.
- But also try to make your circumstances work for you, you hold more power than you think.
- Don’t be afraid to shake things up. If you’re constantly thinking about that trip or making a change, just do it.
- I learned the word panacea this year.
- I also learned that the uterus is like really small????
- Take up a hobby that you don’t feel the need to monetize. It’s so satisfying to learn something new with no pressure.
- It’s okay to not be good at everything you try.
- There’s no point in hanging on to old personality traits, I used to be an avid reader and still say I’m a reader but if you asked me my favorite book I would have literally no idea how to answer.
- SPEND YOUR MONEY! There is no reason to take it to the grave with you.
- Success is defined by happiness, so do what you have to do to get there.
- Your body changes as you get older, you will never look exactly as you did when you were a teenager. Embrace it!
- Let go of the people that are holding you back.
- Love isn’t hard, but it does take work.
- Don’t text your ex. Especially if he’s not texting you back.
- Find ways to make your body healthy and happy without being too hard on yourself. We’re not all meant to look the same.
- Speaking of, almost no one looks like their photos in real life.
- You’re not old. I would much rather be 28 today than a high schooler again.
- Do you guys know how kangaroos are born………….they are born as embryos and crawl into the pouch!! Truly wild.
- The grass is almost never greener on the other side. This is for jobs, relationships, everything.
- The people worth keeping around in your life will make it VERY obvious they’re worth it.
- A handful of great friends is better than a bunch of meh ones.
- Your family can be friends and vice versa.
Happy Birthday!! 😊

Happy Birthday! I read some blog a while back that was an anti-bucket list (or something of the sort) that instead of listing things you want to accomplish, it listed things they have already done that were once in a life time kinda things… surviving a world pandemic I would say would make the list!
