Pre-pandemic Rosie would have thought you were more than crazy if you said she would go 2 years without international travel. Just 2 years ago I was at the point in my life where I was traveling out of the country at least 3 times a year.
It’s weird enough to have to write this post for a second time. When I wrote it the first time, I was shocked, writing it again now I’m used to it.
We’ve been lucky enough to do some domestic travel. We road-tripped to upstate NY and did a little weekend in New England, we visited Matt’s sister in Kentucky, and we went to a wedding in Key West. All of these little trips have been enough to scratch the travel itch, for now.
The last time we traveled out of the country was in December 2019 and we went to Amsterdam. I’ve just started putting some more thought into traveling out of the country again, but I’m having a hard time pulling the trigger. I’m a pretty nervous traveler so the thought of adding extra steps and stress due to COVID seems like a lot for me.
I really do miss it, but I almost feel like I’ve outgrew the amount of traveling we were doing 2 years ago. Which is totally fine! I think I’m just going to need to ease back into travel, maybe start with traveling in North America but who knows what 2022 will bring.
Its alot of stress to be honest.

I am too scared to think about it. Maybe “scared” is not the right word. It’s just that I know so many people who have booked, only to have flights cancelled, or they went through so much stress when travel rules relating to covid changed. I don’t think I would enjoy myself with that stress hanging over me.

I have yet started my traveling journey. Babe and I are considering purchasing land or a house somewhere, and then start building our family. The pandemic doesn’t scare me, already had COVID once around October 2020 during the first trimester of the pregnancy. Now, I’m pretty confident that we’re… Idk, more prepared and ready to grab life by the metaphorical lady balls and punch it in the face.
