If we were having coffee I’d tell you February started off a little slow as we geared up for our trip to New Orleans. After getting my booster and then getting COVID, I felt confident in my antibodies enough to plan a trip. I don’t feel comfortable traveling outside the US right now, which gave me the perfect excuse to visit a state I’ve never been to before.
So how was the trip?
So fun! I guess a lot of people think partying and drinking when it comes to NOLA, but I went for the food and spooky vibes. It didn’t disappoint and it was a perfect 4 day trip. Check out everything we ate here.
Have you read any good books?
I’m proud to say I’m still on my reading kick. In February I read:
- The Duke and I by Julia Quinn
- A Court of Mist and Fury AND A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Mass
- The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
Reading has kind of taken over the time I usually spend watching TV or scrolling through TikTok, but my fiancé also bought me a fun little felting kit that I’ve been trying out as a new hobby.
I was writing outside the blog a lot in January, but kind of lost momentum. I hope to get back to it in March and I also hope to start planning more domestic trips in the upcoming months!
What about you? Tell me one fun thing from your February in the comments!
Is nice view

Helped celebrate my mother’s 75th birthday. It’s just my parents and I, however…it was a nice, quiet day. We stayed home. Ordered takeout and watched TV. 😊👍!

One fun thing about February is that I’m still continuing to learn to cook, and it feels great to be able to cook a steak to my liking. Anyway, thanks for this post and for sharing your slice of life with us!
