If we were having coffee I’d tell you I got COVID for my 29th birthday 😅 which was not an ideal way to celebrate.
I have a lot of thoughts about entering my last year in my 20s, but I am thankful that I’ve never stopped growing for the better over the past 10 years.
I’d tell you that we went to Chicago for a quick weekend trip and now I’ve visited 16/50 states (I know I’m behind).
More recently I’ve really started to appreciate my time home with my pups. So much so, I kind of have to force myself out of my comfort zone to travel. I’m grateful I traveled so much in my early 20s because I am slowing down a little and I don’t feel bad about it. I’ve found new hobbies, I’m starting to enjoy my work, and being home is a nice feeling in place of how I used to just feel cooped up all the time.
I did a tarot card reading on my year ahead and am setting intentions to ground myself, be humble, and ask for help when I need it. I’m looking forward to what 29 has to offer!
What would you tell me about your month if we were having coffee?
We’re making some much needed updates to our home including getting the basement professionally painted and switching out some of the outdated light fixtures. I’m currently working on refinishing the fireplace in our bedroom. It’s been a challenge, but will be rewarding my efforts with a new modern ceiling fan once the project is complete. 🙂
We also completed escape rooms number 50 & 51 this month while on a day trip out to Winston-Salem, NC. We took the motorcycles and found a Greek restaurant for lunch; it was a nice outing except for getting caught in 2 separate rain storms on the way back home.

Wow so much! I’ve never done an escape room but I feel like I don’t have the patience to try lol

I think it really depends on who you do the rooms with. You can play on each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Plus, I’m a huge nerd. 🤓

I would say it has been a busy month with my writing and dog-sitting business. I would also say I have given myself vacation days so I won’t run the risk of burnout.

I’d say it was overwhelmingly busy…

This month I’m working one less day at my restaurant job so I can work more in my Pa’s big garden. I welcomed this less official day with open arms because I have been picking up extra days anyway.
This month I want to try to focus on my mental health as well as doing more on my blog and YouTube channel.
