Favorite collaboration: I love baths so this Queen V Bubble Bath was a huge winner for me!

What’s one of your favorite things from May?

Q&A With Me!

You asked, I answered!

  1. What made you start writing a blog?
When I was a senior in college I was Concentrating in New Media, I started the blog for a class project without a clue of how much it would end up snowballing into this huge part of my life.
  2. What makes you? What is perfection in this imperfect world? Are you pursuing your dream? Analytical or follower? Producer or consumer?
I am driven by passion and learning. Perfection to me is simply happiness, whatever that may be for you. I’m not sure what my dreams are at the moment, but I feel I’m on the right path. I question everything and I believe I am a producer.
  3. What is something about yourself that not many people know? What is your secret passion?
I think most people kind of assuming I’m outgoing, but I’m extremely introverted and like being alone. I’m too passionate about my passions to keep them a secret 🙂
  4. What motivates you to get out of the bed in the morning and tackle the day?
Mostly the thought of eating good food.
  5. What do you do to make yourself feel better when you’re having a bad day?
I complain A LOT, it’s annoying to others but helps me haha
  6. Favourite Book? Favourite Film? Favourite TV Show?
Currently: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Edward Scissorhands, and Scrubs
  7. What is one thing you could not live without?
Cheese because omg it’s so good
  8. Who is your favorite author? Why?
Probably Ellen Hopkins, I enjoy her writing style.
  9. If you were stranded on some uninhabited island, what would you do? If you can ask for 5 things to have with you on there, what would they be?
I would probably sleep a lot haha I would bring my phone, food, water, a buddy, and a book.
  10. Ever read “Me Before You?” What are your thought about dignitas? Would you do the same?
I have! I completely respect and understand the decision and would do the same.
  11. What is your biggest fear?
    Ugh sharks and spiders.
  12. What’s your worst online dating story?
One time I got ghosted which sucked. Another time I actually had to reject someone who thought the date went extremely well and that was hard and awkward for me – the whole date was so uncomfortable.
  13. Approximately how many other blogs do you read a day?
I skim through a lot, but I read in depth maybe 5 a day.
  14. Which social platform did the majority of your followers come from; WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram?
    Definitely WordPress then Facebook.
  15. How did you get your job in social media?
I went to school for Advertising, Journalism, and New Media. I’ve loved social media my whole life so working in a communications department was a perfect fit for me. I started at a very small non profit after graduation and now I am at a much bigger one.
  16. How much do you work with Facebook Ads etc.?
I don’t work with them but I am actually looking into it for 2017.
  17. Do you know anyone who subsequently married after meeting them on a dating website?
I don’t! I do know about 3 couples who met via Tinder/Bumble and they have been dating for months so it is possible 🙂

Thank you for all your questions – hope you all enjoyed learning a little more about me 🙂

The Hookup On: Top 10 Books That Changed My Life

Thanks Sub Soare for nominating me to do this! It’s hard to even think of all the books I’ve read, many of them have actually never made a huge impact on me. Here are ten books that changed my life, kind of in order:

  1. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
  2. Burned by Ellen Hopkins
  3. Crank by Ellen Hopkins
  4. The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
  5. Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyers (don’t judge me guys!!)
  6. 19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult
  7. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
  8. The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth
  9. Leftovers by Laura Weiss
  10. How It Ends by Laura Weiss

Of course each book has a very special reason as to why they made the list – but I think it’s more fun not to share 🙂 Let me know if you’ve read any of these or if you have any book recommendations!

I’m nominating a few people to do this, but you’re not obligated to 🙂

I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award! Thank you so much to Matt and His Cats for the nomination. I completed this award once before so you can check out the blogs I nominated here. I wanted to answer these questions anyway because I’m always so grateful to be nominated for an award – so thank you so much Matt!

  1. What is your go to beverage, either at a bar or cafe/ restaurant?

I’m literally always drinking Diet Coke.

2. Have you got a book/ book series you’ve read more than twice?

I’ve read Burned by Ellen Hopkins too many times to count.

3. What is your favourite holiday and why?

Halloween! Because it’s fun, spooky, and just a good time.

4. How long have you been blogging for?

A little over a year now.

5. What was your first home like/ If you haven’t moved out yet, what do you imagine your first home to be like?

In the future I imagine myself in a small apartment or house, nothing grand, but very quirky.

6. Are you a Cat or Dog person?

Dog!

7. Would you rather be a Viking or Roman soldier?

Maybe a Roman soldier? Plus I’m already Italian so I’d fit in.

8. Would you rather be a Pilot or a Sailor?

Pilot!

9. Would you rather be a fox or a horse?

A horse, though I wouldn’t mind being a fox I’d just feel a little more defenseless.

10. What is your favourite Pokemon?

Snorlax 🙂

11. Would you experience the life of a millionaire for a year, if it meant living on minimum wage for ten years afterwards?

No, only because the difficulties of living on minimum wage would be too much for me to handle and being a millionaire doesn’t appeal to me that much.

10 Productive Things To Do Alone

I sometimes find my weekends completely empty. No plans, no friends to call, and very little errands to run. During this time off I like to take a couple mental health days. There’s nothing wrong with spending a weekend alone and choosing to not pack that weekend with tons of plans. Here’s a couple of things you can do alone when you find yourself with solitary free time:

1. Take a bath

Set aside a good amount of time to just soak and forget about all your other problems.

2. Go to the library

Sign up for a library card and get started on the reading list you pinned on Pinterest two years ago.

3. Binge watch a series

Escape your own reality with a non stop marathon of Netflix.

4. Go to the gym

Push yourself harder than you usually do and spend some time sweating it out in the sauna.

5. Learn a new skill

I personally learned how to crochet, I’ve made like 6 infinity scarves because that’s all I know how to do – but it’s really easy!

6. Go on a hike

Somewhere safe you can go alone, obviously. The scenery is guaranteed to make your day.

7. Run errands

Get done allllll of the things you’ve been putting off.

8. Clean!

I guarantee there is one spot in your house or one drawer in your room that needs reorganizing.

9. Get your nails done

Or do what you do to pamper yourself.

10. Shop!

Spend a little money and splurge. You’re not spending $16 on two cranberry vodkas at the bar with your friends so go buy yourself a new top or necklace.
