6 Things I Care Too Much About

I care a lot, I pretend not to care a lot. There are many things that I pay no mind to – but there are just some things that I care too much about. That don’t deserve as much attention as they get. It’s the ugly truth, these are the things I care too much about:

  1. How much I weigh
It’s not even the number that haunts me, but any extra jiggle.
  2. How many likes I get on Instagram
Guys I know it doesn’t matter, but it kind of matters.
  3. Going out without make up on
I’ve seriously been conditioned to wear make up, I’ve been wearing it since I was like 13 and don’t think I’ve left the house without it since then.
  4. When friends hang out without me
Idk why I get fomo because I probably didn’t want to go anyway
  5. When everyone looks better than I do
Like, I’m the one who decided to look like bum at dinner but everyone else is in heels with curled hair.
  6. Almost everything I can’t control
I overthink those little things to death.

The Hookup On: Arctic Zero Frozen Dessert!

One of the items on my fall bucket list is to be healthier. After I graduated college, I got on track with a work out routine and with the way I ate. I was pretty happy with myself!

But as the 9-5 work grind kicked in, I ate a little more and worked out a lot less. So I’m just trying to get back on that schedule again…it’s not going so great.

One of my major weaknesses is ice cream. Specifically, gelato. Whenever I have a stressful day at work (which inevitably happens often) I’ll grab a pint of gelato – southern butter pecan, if you were wondering.

I’m super excited about Arctic Zero’s frozen desserts though! I feel like it’s just the thing to get me back on track. Mostly because I can replace my bad ice cream habit with these pints – seriously, the whole thing is usually under 200 calories and it is SO good.

If you’ve been looking for a way to sneak your sweet treats in without feeling guilty, definitely check out Arctic Zero 🙂 I’ll just be over here eating the cookie dough flavor while you browse the website at www.arcticzero.com.

The Hookup On: My Summer Bucket List

It has been proven that writing down your goals will help you to achieve them, but to share your goals with others will hinder your success.

I definitely think there’s a little truth to both parts. So while I’m sharing my summer bucket list with you, I will keep some of my goals a secret – but most I will share here with you 🙂

  1. Read 25 books
  2. Get back into a fitness routine
  3. Visit Nashville
  4. Visit Washington D.C.
  5. Reach 1000 WordPress followers
  6. Dye my hair a crazy color
  7. Shop at farmer’s markets/more locally
  8. Visit the beach at least once a month
  9. Paint a cooler
  10. Reach 2000 Instagram followers
  11. Reach 450 Facebook likes
  12. Be mindful about what I eat
  13. Redo my blog
  14. Visit at least 5 outdoor parks
  15. Go to at least 5 concerts
  16. Go to a soccer game
  17. Watch Italy win the Eurocup
  18. Be happy

Let me know some of the items from your bucket list! And if you have any suggestions for me, I’m open 🙂

8 Ways To Clean Up Your New Year

1.Go through your social media

Delete people you barely know and people who make a negative impact. I deleted 51 “friends” on Facebook and deleted like 3 picture albums. They were just part of the past that needed to be swept away.

2. Go through your phone.

I compulsively delete pictures and text messages daily. But if you’re not a weirdo like me, take some time to get rid of those texts you reread to make yourself feel bad and those pictures that don’t stir up good memories. And delete any contact in your phone that is unnecessary – I deleted 29 people from my contacts.

3. Go through your music.

Download the songs you’ve been dying to listen to and delete the ones that you constantly skip over. Get rid of the playlists made by exes and bring in the new.

4. Donate your old clothes.

I think I had two trash bags full of old clothes that I hadn’t worn in years. Get rid of the extra clutter and make room for your new gifts. Donate them to someone who needs them.

5. Physically clean something.

Vacuum your room and remove the 15 half empty water bottles from your car. Start fresh.

6. Get rid of the junk food.

Actually stick to your resolutions and clean out your snack cabinet.

7. Try a new work out.

Clean up your gym routine and try something new, no more half assed squats and a brisk walk on the treadmill.

8. Clean up your attitude!

Out with the negative, in the with positive. You had all of 2015 to wallow in the things that weren’t going right in your life. 365 days passed where you didn’t make a change. So do it now, there’s no better time to appreciate what you have and start living life with a different point of view.

10 Thoughts Every Girl Trying To Be Fit Experiences

1. Why can’t I look like her???

Whether we’re watching television, scrolling through Instagram, or staring at the gym – we’re always trying to look like someone else.

2. I need to eat healthy

*Pins a bunch of recipes on Pinterest that you’ll never cook*

3. When did I even start looking like this??

Like I’m pretty sure I woke up one morning with 10 extra pounds and no ability to run.

4. Does that boy think I’m cute or am I doing this machine wrong?

I’m definitely doing this machine wrong…

5. I don’t want to go to the gym.

Then someone says “yes you do!” to encourage you, but no I really freaking don’t.

6. Don’t eat carbs!!!!!!

*eats all the carbs!!!!!!*

7. I give up.

The scale doesn’t move no matter how much I move.

8. No, I can do this.

I’ll try really hard today so I don’t have to do anything tomorrow.

9. Alright, I’m just never going to look like that.

Unless you’re changing mostly EVERYTHING about your lifestyle, it’s going to be difficult for you to have abs. And you’re probably still going to have stretch marks. And cellulite. It’s life.

10. Whatever, I’m happy.

You SHOULD be thinking this, but you should keep bettering yourself if possible 🙂
