My Trip To Vancouver

If you read my previous post about preparing for the worst when traveling, you’ll know I almost didn’t make it to Vancouver. Luckily, I did and I LOVED it!

I gauge how much I love a city based off how much I’d want to live there and we ended up seeing how much apartments cost and looking at job openings so it’s safe to say we loved it.

Things I did:

1. Capilano Suspension Bridge
Seriously sooo cool and worth the money, just a little packed!

2. Stanley Park

3. Sunset Beach Park

4. Explored Gastown

5. Vancouver Lookout
The views of Vancouver are incredible, beautiful buildings surrounded by ocean and mountains!

Places I ate:

1. Nelson the Seagull

2. Tim Horton’s
I had to, right?

3. Cactus Club Cafe

4. Perverted
Really cool looking and yummy ice cream!

5. Forage

6. Heritage Asian Eatery

I loooooved Vancouver. That was my first time to the West Coast of North America and it did not disappoint! I have a special place in my heart for Canadian cities, they are just so clean and friendly for people my age. All of the buildings are so beautifully designed and you can literally not get sick of seeing the mountains over the ocean – it’s stunning. I’d love to go back one day.

Have you ever been to Vancouver?

Q&A With Me!

You asked, I answered!

  1. What made you start writing a blog?
When I was a senior in college I was Concentrating in New Media, I started the blog for a class project without a clue of how much it would end up snowballing into this huge part of my life.
  2. What makes you? What is perfection in this imperfect world? Are you pursuing your dream? Analytical or follower? Producer or consumer?
I am driven by passion and learning. Perfection to me is simply happiness, whatever that may be for you. I’m not sure what my dreams are at the moment, but I feel I’m on the right path. I question everything and I believe I am a producer.
  3. What is something about yourself that not many people know? What is your secret passion?
I think most people kind of assuming I’m outgoing, but I’m extremely introverted and like being alone. I’m too passionate about my passions to keep them a secret 🙂
  4. What motivates you to get out of the bed in the morning and tackle the day?
Mostly the thought of eating good food.
  5. What do you do to make yourself feel better when you’re having a bad day?
I complain A LOT, it’s annoying to others but helps me haha
  6. Favourite Book? Favourite Film? Favourite TV Show?
Currently: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Edward Scissorhands, and Scrubs
  7. What is one thing you could not live without?
Cheese because omg it’s so good
  8. Who is your favorite author? Why?
Probably Ellen Hopkins, I enjoy her writing style.
  9. If you were stranded on some uninhabited island, what would you do? If you can ask for 5 things to have with you on there, what would they be?
I would probably sleep a lot haha I would bring my phone, food, water, a buddy, and a book.
  10. Ever read “Me Before You?” What are your thought about dignitas? Would you do the same?
I have! I completely respect and understand the decision and would do the same.
  11. What is your biggest fear?
    Ugh sharks and spiders.
  12. What’s your worst online dating story?
One time I got ghosted which sucked. Another time I actually had to reject someone who thought the date went extremely well and that was hard and awkward for me – the whole date was so uncomfortable.
  13. Approximately how many other blogs do you read a day?
I skim through a lot, but I read in depth maybe 5 a day.
  14. Which social platform did the majority of your followers come from; WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram?
    Definitely WordPress then Facebook.
  15. How did you get your job in social media?
I went to school for Advertising, Journalism, and New Media. I’ve loved social media my whole life so working in a communications department was a perfect fit for me. I started at a very small non profit after graduation and now I am at a much bigger one.
  16. How much do you work with Facebook Ads etc.?
I don’t work with them but I am actually looking into it for 2017.
  17. Do you know anyone who subsequently married after meeting them on a dating website?
I don’t! I do know about 3 couples who met via Tinder/Bumble and they have been dating for months so it is possible 🙂

Thank you for all your questions – hope you all enjoyed learning a little more about me 🙂

Although summer is without a doubt my favorite season, fall has its perks too! We all need a little reminder sometimes, when the temperatures drop and the free time disappears, that fall can be just as great as summer 🙂 Here are 10 reasons why fall is so awesome:

  1. Mallomars
    Enough said
  2. Nicer weather
I’m always cold, but fall has a nice inbetween of too hot and too cold
  3. Bulking season
Okay, this isn’t really a thing for me but I don’t have to wear a bikini anymore so let’s just call the massive amounts of food I’m about to eat bulking season
  4. Less frequent leg shaving
I’m wearing pants, guys, I’m not shaving my legs every three days anymore.
  5. Comfort food
Pumpkin everything, richer and yummier foods!
  6. Halloween
    My favorite holiday 🙂
  7. Thanksgiving
    Once again…food.
  8. Fall clothes
Beanies are actually the best thing for bad hair days and flannels couldn’t be more comfortable.
  9. Fall activities
Apple picking, hay rides, and pumpkin carving all make for great Instagrams
  10. Cuddle weather
It’s cuffing season!! Find yourself a significant other and commence the cuddling.

10 Relatable Things For People On A Diet

  1. You’re sick of hearing it’s a “lifestyle change”

I cannot give up bread for the rest of my life I’m sorry

  1. You only strictly diet when you have to look skinny for something

Maybe if I go to the gym three days in a row I’ll have a six pick for spring break

  1. You can’t give up alcohol

I just…..can’t

  1. Giving into cravings

Eating just a scoop of ice cream can’t be that bad… Maybe I’ll have two scoops…

  1. Counting calories has you questioning everything you learned in math/ science

Wtf is the difference between an ounce and a gram?? How many almonds is it?!?

  1. When people eat unhealthy and delicious food in front of you

Must resist the temptationnnn

  1. When you’re not seeing any results

Maybe I should just go back to eating a snickers every day

  1. Mindlessly eating during your favorite tv shows then remembering you’re on a diet

Oops

  1. Trying to busy yourself so you don’t eat anymore

I reorganized my sock drawer like six times today already but a seventh couldn’t hurt

  1. Actually seeing results

And realizing maybe it is a lifestyle change….

11 Things Vegetarians Are Tired Of Hearing

1. Don’t you miss it?

Not really, no.

2. Oh so you’re not actually a vegetarian?

Yea, technically I’m a pescatarian because I eat fish but then you would start making fun of that too so…….

3. But like what do you eat…

You know all that stuff on your plate that isn’t meat? I eat that.

4. Do you do it for the animals or because you don’t like meat?

For the animals. But also I don’t like meat – does it matter?

5. You know you’re not helping any animals, right?

I’M HELPING MORE THAN YOU ARE

6. Don’t you want to eat this big juicy steak?

No, not really. And I would appreciate you not sticking your food in my face.

7. What happens if you eat meat?

Nothing. Unless I consumed a large quantity and go sick, but most likely nothing.

8. Would you be upset if you accidentally ate meat?

I didn’t do it on purpose and I didn’t continue once I found out so, no.

9. What about bacon!??!?!?

What about it?

10. Oh is that why you’re so skinny?

Not eating meat has very little to do with if you’re eating healthy or not.

11. Your life must suck.

As a vegetarian/pescatarian who DOESN’T shove their lifestyle down other people’s throats, kind of like what you’re doing when you ask these questions, no my life does not suck.

10 Reasons Why Christmas Is Annoying

1.The Christmas freaks

Do not play Christmas songs in October and hang your lights up in November when the holiday is in December!!

2. Snow

And cold weather. THE WORST.

3. Too much food.

Like Christmas time is just a month of getting fat. At least on Thanksgiving it’s only for a day.

4. Greed

Basically we all demand presents for no reason.

5. Shopping

I hate shopping in general. There are so many people at the malls and it’s so stressful.

6. The exclusivity

It’s like the only holiday that matters apparently…

7. The music

Idk there are only like 3 Christmas songs I can name that don’t suck.

8. Too much family time

Spending time with family is nice…for a little while…

9. Taking down the decorations

They’re everywhere!! And then you have to take the lights down in the cold and snow!! ugh.

10. When it’s over

All the holly jolly goes away and we all go back to being mean to each other because we’re not in the “Christmas spirit” anymore.

Sorry, but it’s true.

5. Fall clothes are super cute.

Layering, scarves, warmth, give me it all!!!

6. The best holidays!!!

Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all in one beautiful season.

7. Cold weather is prime cuddling weather

Now I just need to find a boyfriend
