Why I Am Obsessed With Summer

The person I am in winter and the person I am in summer are two completely different people. From December to April you can basically guarantee that I am going to be a miserable mush that doesn’t want to do anything but hibernate.

Like actually eat tons of Chipotle to store fat and sleep for months.

I am obsessed with summer and obsessed with the happiness I associate with it. The warmth, sunshine, vacations, and relaxed days bring me to another level. You’ll never hear me complaining about how hot it is because if it’s under 75 degrees out I’m shivering and in pain.

Work is easier during the summer which makes life easier. I can take more days off without worrying, go down to the beach on the weekends, and plan vacations. The sun stays out until 8:30 pm so I can do more after work. Unlike in the winter, when it’s dark before I even get home and I immediately crawl into bed.

Summer came at just the right time for me because winter and spring (was there even a spring? It just felt like an extended winter to me) really put me down and that impacts every part of me. I was getting concerned that I was just permanently a sad person. But now that warmer weather and summer is here, I can feel it all changing for the better again.

What season is your favorite?

The Hookup On: Live The Shore Life In Diamond Beach

I once wrote a post about my favorite places in New Jersey and how everyone here has their favorite shore town. The Jersey Shore really is an amazing way of life and place to be over the summer and year round!

ant-rozetsky-153554.jpg

Gently open your eyes to the soothing sound of waves crashing onto the shore as a fresh ocean breeze ruffles the curtains through an open bedroom window. Sip a warm morning beverage on a wood-paneled patio while sitting in an Adirondack chair as the seagulls call out announcing the new day. After breakfast, walk the beach, hit the gym, shop, and enjoy all the beautiful scenery of Diamond Beach, New Jersey. Whether you take a bike ride, a boat ride, build a sandcastle, or just lounge in the sun casually as you sip on a cocktail, there is no end to the wonders which lay at your feet when you have a property on the coast. No two days are ever alike because the possibilities for adventure, relaxation, and quality family time are endless. Each day is a gift waiting to be unwrapped, and every evening you can sleep easy knowing you have a beautiful place to rest your head.

If you are looking to escape reality for a night, a weekend, a month, a season, or create a new reality altogether, owning or renting a home in a beachfront community can help you achieve those goals. The fresh ocean air is invigorating, and a dynamic nightlife always keeps things unpredictable and exciting. Diamond Beach in New Jersey is an exclusive area and an ideal location for a new house, a vacation home, or an income or rental property. More than that, it is an exceptional place just to get away from it all.

Investing in property near the New Jersey shore can certainly be an intimidating ordeal, especially if you are looking at the upscale Diamond Beach community on the coast. So when you do decide to invest in real estate, do not leave your dreams in the hands of an amateur. Solicit the advice of a qualified Real Estate Broker and find a property to turn your dreams into a reality. If you are interested in purchasing or renting a home, condo, or townhouse on the Jersey shore, then consult the experts at Daniels Realty Diamond Beach. They have a proven track record of success, and they have been the number one real estate agency in the area for more than 25 years. When Your Brain Is In Summer Mode

I don’t know about you guys, but around where I live it has been 70 and sunny every day. It is making work extremely hard.

When it first started getting nice, I came in on a Monday and had the most Mondayest Monday ever. I personally don’t mind Mondays too much, because they are catch up days and relatively easy. It’s Tuesdays I don’t like, but this Monday was extremely hard.

It got nicer throughout the week and I came in the next Monday and just could not get my brain to work. I couldn’t get the simplest of tasks down. I was emailing the wrong people and attaching the wrong documents. I just could not hang.

My brain is on total summer mode right now. It doesn’t help that I haven’t taken a real vacation day since January, my last actual vacation day was spent going to 4 different doctor appointments, superrrr exciting.

Now I am just trying to get back on track. I am making lists and going outside for lunch and planning trips for the future to keep my brain occupied. I think this is the first time I ever wished for it to not be nice out since I’m stuck inside from 9-5 for 5 days out of the week.

I really need to stop being tired and get outside after work and do some fun things. I’ve been in winter mode so long, I’m still trying to adjust.

What do you guys do when your brain is in summer mode?
