Why I Am Obsessed With Summer

The person I am in winter and the person I am in summer are two completely different people. From December to April you can basically guarantee that I am going to be a miserable mush that doesn’t want to do anything but hibernate.

Like actually eat tons of Chipotle to store fat and sleep for months.

I am obsessed with summer and obsessed with the happiness I associate with it. The warmth, sunshine, vacations, and relaxed days bring me to another level. You’ll never hear me complaining about how hot it is because if it’s under 75 degrees out I’m shivering and in pain.

Work is easier during the summer which makes life easier. I can take more days off without worrying, go down to the beach on the weekends, and plan vacations. The sun stays out until 8:30 pm so I can do more after work. Unlike in the winter, when it’s dark before I even get home and I immediately crawl into bed.

Summer came at just the right time for me because winter and spring (was there even a spring? It just felt like an extended winter to me) really put me down and that impacts every part of me. I was getting concerned that I was just permanently a sad person. But now that warmer weather and summer is here, I can feel it all changing for the better again.

What season is your favorite?

The Hookup On: My Completed Winter Bucket List

The last day of winter is still a couple of weeks away, it ends on March 19th. But I actually ended up accomplishing almost all of my winter bucket list. The only things I didn’t do were playing in the snow, because there was barely any snow, and crochet a beanie, because I just didn’t have the time or resources. I can also tack on moving out into my own apartment on this list 🙂 I am super proud of myself for all that I accomplished this winter and can’t wait to put together my spring bucket list!

1. Be happy

2. 500 likes on my Facebook page

3. Go to Iceland

4. Go on a weekend trip

5. Take more pictures/go more places

6. Actually enjoy New Years

7. Get into a yoga routine

8. 4,000 instagram followers

9. Change up my hair

10. Make more time for friends

11. Make more time for myself

12. Play in the snow

13. Crochet/knit a beanie

14. Learn something new

One of my goals for this winter is to reach 500 likes on my Facebook page! Currently I am at 494 likes, so only 6 away. Which is such a little number, but I think in the last few months I’ve gotten like one like per month. Meh.

SO I need your help! If you have a Facebook and would like to help out, please head over to https://www.facebook.com/hookupcultures/ and give my page a like 🙂 If your blog has a Facebook page, please drop the link in the comments and I will give it a like as well!

The Hookup On: Helping Me Reach My Goal

Hey all!

Here’s another plea for you! So on my fall bucket list, I goaled myself to reach 1,500 WordPress followers by the end of fall. Now that we’ve gotten past the first week in December, I realized I need a little help reaching that goal! The last day of fall is December 20th (well, technically).

Currently I am at 1,461 followers – close but far! You guys have gotten me up like 15 followers in a week which is AMAZING! So if you’ve ever felt like reblogging, linking back to me, or whatever – now would be a great time! I want to reach new audiences and get involved with as many people as possible.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Xoxo

10 Reasons Why Christmas Is Annoying

1.The Christmas freaks

Do not play Christmas songs in October and hang your lights up in November when the holiday is in December!!

2. Snow

And cold weather. THE WORST.

3. Too much food.

Like Christmas time is just a month of getting fat. At least on Thanksgiving it’s only for a day.

4. Greed

Basically we all demand presents for no reason.

5. Shopping

I hate shopping in general. There are so many people at the malls and it’s so stressful.

6. The exclusivity

It’s like the only holiday that matters apparently…

7. The music

Idk there are only like 3 Christmas songs I can name that don’t suck.

8. Too much family time

Spending time with family is nice…for a little while…

9. Taking down the decorations

They’re everywhere!! And then you have to take the lights down in the cold and snow!! ugh.

10. When it’s over

All the holly jolly goes away and we all go back to being mean to each other because we’re not in the “Christmas spirit” anymore.
