Last week I wrote a post called Take More Selfies.
Self love is hard. It’s way easier to get gratification from others, and even then that’s not always easy. Sometimes I’ll find myself with the front camera open, looking for my best angle and then close the app saying “I’m too ugly for a selfie.”
And it’s just not true, it’s just not true about anyone. Everyone should feel beautiful enough to take a photo of themselves smiling and feeling good.
So, in an effort to change the way I think about myself, I will be taking one selfie a day for the next 30 days and uploading them to my Instagram story. You can visit my instagram at @rosieculture.
While I’m sure a lot of people will be like “okay cool it with the selfies”, I will be challenging myself to like my appearance and self for 30 days and to find some beauty in the world. What others think doesn’t really matter.
Take the challenge! Whether you want to do it on your own, through Instagram, Facebook, or wherever. I challenge you to love yourself – and feel free to tag me in your pics! 🙂 Photo 1 is below and can be found on my insta story today.
I think you’re courageous. I’m too terrified to post pictures of myself.

You can definitely take them and keep them to yourself! All depends on how comfortable you are, in this case I am only comfortable with a selfie that makes me look like a mouse lol

Well, I look like I am trying some sort of contortion trying to get the right pose…lol
I look like I’m in pain when I do it.

I use to take some selfies before. Not anymore. I don’t like how I look in picture anymore. That is the reason why I don’t have Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
You are brave and you have a natural beauty to you. 🙂

aw thank you! I have become uncomfortable with photos too, but social media is such a big part of my life so this is my effort to become comfortable with pictures again

P.S Posted a new poem. Hope when you read it, it finds truth in what happens here in L.A. I don’t know if you’ve ever been.

I think this is a great idea. You look so cute! I’ve deleted a lot of selfies because I didn’t look right… I like when my daughters are in them with me 🙂

Aw that’s nice too! When I try to take a selfie my camera roll is filled with hundreds of pictures and I try to pick the best one but hate them all 😂

Not a chance I put my face on my blog. Enemies everywhere, and I’ve no self love. Pastor Delbert warned us about that from an early age. Those ears are freaking me out, man.

Self-love and self-confidence are important for ourselves. I think that we mostly treat ourselves harshly as compared to how we treat others. We need to learn to be a little nicer to ourselves. Much love. 🙂

Judging by your pictures I wouldn’t say you’re ugly at all.
I’m not much of a selfie guy. I actually like group photos! Although I come up with the weirdest
